Program Overview
We are excited to announce the launch of the Wwise Affiliate Trainer tier—the highest level of the Wwise Instructor Program—and we are now accepting applications!
The Wwise Instructor Program is designed to equip educators and industry professionals with the skills and recognition needed to effectively teach Wwise and interactive audio concepts.
As the demand for Wwise training continues to grow worldwide, we recognize the need for a structured and scalable way to deliver high-quality training sessions. The Wwise Affiliate Trainer tier is designed to meet the growing demand for training by engaging experienced instructors who can facilitate training sessions organized and promoted by Audiokinetic.
With the introduction of the Affiliate Trainer tier, we are recognizing Certified Instructors who have demonstrated exceptional teaching abilities, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to advancing interactive audio education. This is a unique opportunity to train and mentor the next generation of interactive audio professionals, gain industry recognition, and access exclusive training resources. This role is more than just teaching—it’s about leading, inspiring, and shaping the future of Wwise education.

Expectations & Responsibilities:
As a Wwise Affiliate Trainer, you will play a key role in advancing interactive audio education by fulfilling the following responsibilities:
- Training & Education – Conduct at least two high-quality training sessions annually, including workshops or courses that align with Audiokinetic’s training guidelines. Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences tailored to different audiences.
- Engagement & Promotion – Actively promote Wwise training, events, and learning opportunities within your network and region, helping to expand the global reach of Wwise education.
- Knowledge & Expertise – Stay up to date with the latest Wwise features, tools, and industry trends to ensure your training sessions provide relevant and valuable insights.
- Collaboration & Reporting – Maintain close communication with the Audiokinetic team to ensure training initiatives align with program goals. Provide updates on training sessions, learner progress, feedback, and market insights to support continuous program improvement.
- Ethical Standards & Compliance – Adhere to ethical guidelines, licensing agreements, and Audiokinetic policies, ensuring a professional and compliant training environment.
- Brand Representation – Represent Audiokinetic’s values, standards, and reputation with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in all training and engagement activities.
- Language Considerations: Audiokinetic provides official translations in five languages: English, French, Korean, Japanese Chinese. Trainers working in other languages may need to translate or adapt training materials as needed. Support and guidance will be available to help with this process.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for experienced and passionate professionals who meet the following criteria:
- Wwise Certification & Expertise – You must be a Wwise Certified Instructor with a strong working knowledge of Wwise and its real-world applications. This includes familiarity with multiple Wwise major versions, demonstrating at least continuous experience across two or three major updates.
- Teaching & Training Experience – We welcome both educators with formal academic backgrounds and industry professionals with hands-on experience in teaching or training current and future professionals. Ideal candidates have experience in fields that blend technical and creative expertise, such as game audio, interactive sound design, and audio engineering.
- Effective Communication Skills –You should have the ability to present complex concepts clearly, engage learners effectively, and lead interactive training sessions. Strong presentation, instructional design, and audience engagement skills are key.
- Specialized Knowledge in Wwise Domains – You should have advanced expertise in at least one of the following areas:

Application Process
To apply, complete the application form below and submit the following materials by March 31, 2025, 5 PM ET. All documents and files must be named using the format: Lastname_Firstname (e.g., Smith_John.mp4, Smith_John_Resume.pdf).
1. Resume
Provide an up-to-date resume highlighting your relevant experience in Wwise, interactive audio, and teaching/training.
2 . Cover letter
Submit a cover letter outlining your experience, teaching approach, and motivation for becoming a Wwise Affiliate Trainer
3. Teaching Demonstration Video
Submit a 10-minute (max) recorded session where you teach a game audio topic. Please provide us with a link to access your video (e.g., an unlisted YouTube video, a shared cloud drive, or another accessible platform)
Your video should:
- Clearly showcase your teaching ability and ability to explain concepts effectively.
- Feature you and your screen (minimal editing preferred—no intros, overlays, or effects needed).
- Be delivered in English with clear audio and visuals.
- Be in a universal video format (MP4 or MOV, H.264).
- Be named using the Lastname_Firstname format (e.g., Smith_John.mp4).
Suggested Teaching Topics (Choose one or propose your own)
If unsure what to present, consider one of these Wwise topics:
- Providing Clarity with Dynamic Mixing– Demonstrate Auto-Ducking and Side-Chaining, explaining their benefits and real-world applications.
- Limiting the Soundscape – Show how playback limits help optimize performance and prevent sound stuttering.
- A Multi-Layered Music Score – Explain Music Track modes (Normal, Random Step, Sequence Step) and how sub-tracks allow for custom curve design or Music Event Cues.
If none of these topics suit you, you may select another relevant topic that aligns with your expertise.
Recommendations for Your Video Submission
- Prioritize education over technical depth—explain why a feature is useful, not just how it works.
- Use analogies where helpful to enhance understanding.
- Reserve time for:
- A short introduction
- A clear topic presentation
- A hands-on demonstration
- A brief conclusion
- Use any Wwise version you are comfortable with—no version restrictions apply.
4. Proof of Experience & Certifications
Include any relevant Wwise certifications or industry experience that demonstrate your expertise and teaching qualifications.
Selection Process
- April: Initial screening and review of applications - Shortlisted candidates are contacted for interviews
- May: Interview & Assessment - Interviews conducted with selected candidates to assess expertise, teaching ability, and alignment with program goals.
- June: Final selection process concludes - Candidates are notified of their acceptance into the Affiliate Trainer program. Successful applicants will be required to sign an agreement with Audiokinetic
- June-July: Onboarding and orientation for newly selected Affiliate Trainers.
