Wwise Takeaways from Managing Large-Scale Projects

Dr Alexander Horowitz is a game audio director and composer based in the South-East of England. He is the Audio Director at Improbable in London, UK, and was previously the Audio Lead at Studio Gobo in Brighton and Hove, directing the European audio team on Hogwarts Legacy. Before this, Alexander was the Head of Audio at the games division of Andy Serkis' Imaginarium in London and has worked on well-known AAA games including Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V: Online, and Madden NFL 17.

In this session, Alexander will be unpacking his thoughts on handling game audio on AAA projects using Wwise. These will include his experience in optimising memory, disk space, CPU, and streaming budgets, his considerations when sharing a Wwise project across a large team, and his processes when preparing a AAA game for release.
